Debora Allen has been rolling up her sleeves and contributing to the community for decades. In 2016, she was elected as District 1 Board Director for the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). After a long career in construction industry financial management, and six years of service as a Contra Costa County Pension Board Trustee, Debora decided to continue to dedicate her career expertise, skills, and knowledge to get BART back on track to the original goal of becoming a world class transit system.

Debora is supporting the second-largest urban service area in the Western United States through her leadership on the Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority. She is leading the planning, funding, and implementation of innovative transit programs that strengthen our diverse communities and improve the lives of residents of Contra Costa County. Debora is using her financial expertise to support overseeing all real estate transactions in the Contra Costa Center Transit Village at Pleasant Hill BART station.

Debora Allen supports many local fundraising events, charities and, non-profit organizations. She is a member of AICPA and Contra Costa Taxpayers Association. She has been dedicated and involved with Contra Costa community for more than 30 years and a dedicated public servant for suburban BART commuters since 2016.

Debora and her husband, Timothy Allen, have lived in Contra Costa County since 1987. They have two adult sons, two Great Pyrenees dogs, and spend much of their time hiking, biking, fishing, gardening and enjoying the beautiful environment in which they call home near Mt. Diablo State Park.
